1. About the festival This festival is held every year from September 7th to 9th in conjunction with the festivals of Kakunodate Sochinshu Shinmeisha Shinmeisha and Shorakuzan Jojuin Yakushido, and large floats decorated with warrior dolls and kabuki dolls from within 18 blocks are pulled through the streets that remain from the Edo period. (Nationally designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property "Kakunodate-Matsuri no Yama-Gyoji" and UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage "Yama, Hoko, and Yatai Events")
