About the village of the dogtooth violet in Yatsukamatari

The dogtooth violets of Nishiki Town, which bloom after many years, create a beautiful scene across approximately 20 hectares of land within the Nishimyo-ji chestnut orchard, a local specialty, resembling a carpet of pale purple flowers. Amidst this, pure white dogtooth violets also quietly make their appearance. Enjoy the refreshing spring sunshine and the leisurely pace of time in the countryside, together with these lovely dogtooth violets.

Admission fee

500 yen (300 yen for groups of 20 or more) *Admission fees are used for the maintenance and preservation activities of the “Katakuri Cluster Village”.

● About strolling through the area where dogtooth violet clusters grow

– The circular road within the park will be one-way. – Katakuri Hall will be open as usual, and merchandise will be sold inside. Food and drink booths are also planned for April 18th (Sat), 19th (Sun), 25th (Sat), and 16th (Sun). – Restrooms are available at Katakuri Hall. For details, please see the Katakuri Hall website .
