Are there any points to note regarding store opening hours?

Many restaurants and souvenir shops in Kakunodate’s Samurai Residence Street close around 5pm. Outside of Samurai Residence Street, there are souvenir shops that are open a little later and restaurants that are open into the night. Also, some stores are closed during the winter, so it’s best to check in advance.
