Road closure to Kojōyama Park due to bear sighting

Recently, there have been numerous bear sightings in the city. Since there have also been sightings near Kojōyama Park, in order to ensure the safety of visitors and residents, we will be closing Kojōyama Park to traffic (entry prohibited to all except authorized personnel) for the time being. It is extremely dangerous, so please do not enter the park grounds under any circumstances.

• They are appearing more frequently near populated areas. To avoid becoming a victim, please stay away from surrounding woodlands and bushes.
• Those passing through the area should carry something that makes noise, such as a radio or a bell, and exercise caution.
• If you spot a bear, do not approach it. Instead, evacuate to a safe place and then call the city hall or police station (110).
