A scenic road that crosses Hachimantai from Iwate Prefecture to Akita Prefecture
The road opens in late April. For around 20 days, a snow corridor will continue on both sides of the road. This scenery is created when snow is removed in preparation for the opening, and in some places the course passes through walls of snow that are over 6 meters high, making for a spectacular view. The "Snow Corridor," which could be said to be something left behind in winter, is a mysterious sight where winter and early summer intersect.
