Kakunodate Town in Akita Prefecture is a town that has carefully cultivated the ancient tradition of "craftsmanship" along with its historic samurai residences. The town is lined with rows of cherry blossom trees dyed in autumn colors and the plaza is home to ceramics, woodwork, lacquerware, glass, metal, and leather. There are 116 shops selling original goods by dyeing and weaving artists, as well as food establishments offering healthy meals. Please come and visit!

◇Access by car
Since August 1st, the area around Uchikawa Bridge has been closed to traffic due to bridge repair work.
To get to the venue from Akita City, take the Kakunodate Bypass to Nakagawa/ Kakunodate City and head south onto a public road.

[Request to those coming by car]
There are two parking lots available:
・Ochiai Sports Park Parking Lot ・Kakunodate City General Hospital P2 (Temporary Parking Lot)
[For those planning to visit in the morning on Day 1]
The parking lot at Ochiai Sports Park is expected to be very crowded.
Therefore, you may be able to enter more smoothly if you use the temporary parking lot at Kakunodate City General Hospital. The venue is about a 2-3 minute walk from the hospital.
[Requests when using the parking lot]
・To enter the parking lot at Ochiai Sports Park, please enter from the Kitano Line "Entrance" sign. A security guard will guide you.
・Please refrain from entering from side roads such as the cherry blossom-lined side. This may cause delays in notifying us when the parking lot is full, which may interfere with our guidance.
・If the parking lot on the venue becomes full, you will be directed to a temporary parking lot on the hospital side.
[Request for cooperation]
・If you are coming by car, please carpool as much as possible.
The Semboku City Tourist Information Center "Kakunodate Ekimae-Gura" has a map showing directions to the venue and a bus timetable.
Please stop by.
*Uchikawa Bridge, which is close to the venue, is closed to vehicles.
