Tamachi, where the Nishinomiya family lives, is another samurai residence street in Kakunodate. The five storehouses built from the Meiji to Taisho periods house restaurants and galleries, and sell antique fabrics, ceramics, and washi paper. You can also enjoy matcha green tea and oshiruko in the tatami room of the main house.
