Inside WARAN
We have opened a cafe called “WARAN” along the samurai residence street (opposite the Aoyagi family home) in Kakunodate, Akita, known as the Little Kyoto of Michinoku. Please come and have a nice rest before or after your stroll around the samurai residence street at Cafe WARAN☕
We offer scone and drink sets. In addition to coffee, tea, and matcha latte, we also offer 100% apple juice and wine by the glass (red, white, or sparkling) with cheese. Drinks can also be ordered individually.
The clotted cream served with the scones is made using traditional methods by RODDA’S, a long-established British manufacturer, and is sourced from a company that imports it directly.
The exterior of the shop is in the style of a modern samurai residence. The interior is in a retro European and antique style, and we hope to provide a relaxing and soothing space. We also have accessories such as pendants and brooches, as well as scarves, mugs, and other miscellaneous souvenirs available.
