A Literature Museum and Library Where You Can Enjoy Akita Literature

Shinchosha Kinen Bungakukan

It was built in honor of Yoshiaki Sato, who was born in Kakunodate cho, and the achievements of Shinchosha, a literary publishing company founded by him. The exhibits in the museum trace the history of Shinchosha, and are organized so that visitors can get a glimpse of modern Japanese literature from the Meiji period onwards.
