The oldest in Kakunodate, built in 1450
雲巌寺
Built in 1450, it is the oldest in Kakunodate, and Sanmon is designated as a tangible cultural property of Akita Prefecture. The statue of Nio is made by Emazo, the creator of Donpan-bushi. The thousand Buddhas made by Shiraiwa Yaki are also wonderful.
