Kitaura Main Store, located on the old National Route 46 closer to Akita City than Kakunodate, opened in the fall of 1996, stocking all of our products and local specialties, as well as the unique flavors of Akita, in order to create a store that will satisfy even more customers. In the spring of 2010, the store reopened with the addition of Dounabe-ya and Seiro-tei, further enhancing its offering. Please feel free to stop by and enjoy tastings in our spacious store. Also, be sure to try the soy sauce soft serve ice cream that has been a big hit since it was first sold at Okashi no Kurata inside the store.

At the restaurant "Donabeya," enjoy freshly cooked piping hot food cooked in clay pots and on hot iron plates!

The signature dish is the [Clay Pot Ramen], with a soup made with miso and soy sauce that is unique to the brewery. Other popular dishes include the [Okariba-yaki], a specialty of Kakunodate, and the [Hinaichi Jidori Oyakodon], a specialty of Akita. We also recommend stopping by for a break with coffee, craft drinks, and amazake smoothies. Reservations can be made on weekdays, so please feel free to contact us.
