Mysterious Lake and Japan's Deepest Lake

Tazawako, with its deep blue surface and the legend of Princess Tatsuko, is an almost circular lake with a circumference of about 20 kilometers.
It is the deepest lake in Japan, with a depth of 423.4 meters. The mystical lake has a variety of different expressions throughout the seasons, providing a delight to all who visit.
In addition to historical sites and attractions, the lakeside is also home to a variety of leisure spots, including driving, cycling and sightseeing boats.
From JR Tazawako station, take the Ugo Kotsu bus "Tazawako Loop Line" or "Nyuto Line" and get off at Tazawako(approximately 15 minutes)
