Tamachi, where the Nishinomiya family lives, is another samurai residence street in Kakunodate. The five storehouses, built from the Meiji to Taisho periods, house a restaurant and gallery, and sell antique fabrics, ceramics, and Japanese paper. You can also enjoy matcha tea and oshiruko in the tatami room of the main house.
