Semboku City has a lot of nature trails suitable for trekking and walking. You can reach Mt. Akita Komagatake by public bus up to the 8th station, and easily enjoy full-scale mountain climbing. A walk in the beech forest around the Dakigaeri Valley and Nyuto Onsenkyo is recommended during summer and autumn.
