1. About the Festival This festival is held every year from September 7th to 9th in conjunction with the festivals of Kakunodate Sojinshu Shinmeisha Shinmeisha and Shorakusan Jojuin Yakushido Hall, and large floats decorated with warrior dolls and kabuki dolls from within 18 blocks are pulled through the streets that have remained unchanged since the Edo period. (Nationally designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property "Kakunodate-Matsuri no Yama-Gyoji" and UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage "Yama, Hoko and Yatai Events")
