Ayu fishing ban on Hinokinai River lifted

With the lifting of the ban on sweetfish fishing on July 1, many anglers will visit.
Since there are no factories or dams in the basin of the Hinokinai River, the pristine river and the pure water that flows out of the nutrient-rich soil produce high-quality sweetfish that feed on sweetfish.
Therefore, it is said to be the best fishing spot in Japan because it can catch high quality sweetfish with a unique scent.

At Kakunodate, Hinokinai River Ayu has been treated as a gift of the Satake Kita family since the Edo period.
It is registered as a trademark as "Den-sama Ayu".
