Tazawako history and culture, and as a base facility for transmitting a message to the future, was opened in 2017 July 1.

Oncorhynchus Kawamurae, once in Tazawako only endemic species of Tazawako that lived all over the world, 1940 January, was extinct by began to introduce the acidic water of Tamagawa. Along with the breeding and exhibition of the "miracle of the fish Oncorhynchus Kawamurae" that has been discovered in West Lake Yamanashi Prefecture in 2010, circumstances leading up to the discovery in the West Lake from extinct in Tazawako, at the time of the fishing gear and dugout canoe, lakeside of people's lives changes in and the environment, has been described in a number of panels and the video and biology of Oncorhynchus Kawamurae.
