Tazawako, with its deep blue surface and the legend of Princess Tatsuko, is an almost circular lake with a circumference of about 20 kilometers.

At 423.4 meters deep, it is the deepest lake in Japan. The lake, with its mystical atmosphere, changes its appearance with the seasons and delights visitors.

In addition to historical sites and attractions, the lakeside is also home to a variety of leisure spots, including driving, cycling, and sightseeing boats.
