Dakigaeri Valley is known as the Yabakei of Tohoku, and is a beautiful spot famous for its virgin forests on both banks, the waterfalls hanging over the cliffs, and the distinctive blue mountain stream.
There is a walking trail where you can easily see the strange rocks, rapids, and waterfalls of all sizes. The view from the suspension bridge "Kami no Iwabashi" that catches your eye when you reach the valley is amazing.

Continued closure of the walking trail at Dakigaeri Valley
The walking trail in Dakigaeri Valley was closed during the winter, but as a result of on-site inspections in preparation for reopening, partial defects were found on the trail, so the section upstream from the Dakigaeri Second Parking Lot on the Shiroiwa side (left bank of the Tama River) will remain closed.
The time when service will be restored has not yet been determined. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
In addition, it is now possible to access the Dakigaeri First Parking Lot on the Jindai side (right bank of the Tamagawa River) from Dakigaeri Dakigaeri Jinja to Kaminoiwabashi Bridge to the Second Parking Lot, and the Dakigaeri First and Second public toilets, which were closed during the winter, can be used.
